Call for entries 2012
We are now accepting entries for our 15th edition, which will run from 24 - 28 April 2012. KICFF is looking for high quality shorts, long shorts, features and documentaries to be screened in our main section and numerous side bars of Norway's largest festival for films for children and youth. Read our guidelines below and fill in our online entry form.

Awards at KICFF 2011's closing night
Saturday night, four awards were handed out at the closing night of the 14th Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival. Danish feature KIDNAPPET/LOST IN AFRICA (Vibeke Muasya 2010) was given The Film & Kino Children’s Film Award and the new ECFA Award. Icelandic feature JITTERS/OROI received the Don Quijote Award and the Audience Award went to Dutch feature MAGIKERNE/HET GEHEIM. The ceremony concludes the festival where, during five days, 98 titles have been screened of which 9 were world prmieres and 45 national premieres. Almost 15 000 tickets were sold and around 400 professional guests were present.

NEW NORDIC CHILDREN'S FILMS - Professional activities at KICFF 2011
We have the pleasure of welcoming to Kristiansand International Children`s Film Festival. This year's festival offers a variety of films from all continents and in various genres. We are proud to present 45 national premieres and 9 world premieres at the festival. 97 movie titles in total, from 27 different countries!

Awards and juries at KICFF '11
Four awards are handed out at the last evening of the festival. The Film & Kino Award grants NOK 75 000 to Norwegian distribution of the best film in the Main Section, the Don Quixote Award is handed out to the winner of the Youth Section and a brand new ECFA award will be presented to the best European feature in the Main Section. Finally, the Ludi Award is given by our audiences to the most popular film in the Main Section.

ECFA Conference: To Game Or Not To Game?
This year the annual EFCA-conference for film professionals at the Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival brings us to a topic not usually addressed within the film industry for young people. However, we aim to demystify the gaming world and introduce the capabilities of incorporating video gaming into festival programs, educational strategies and industry cooperation.

Programme and awards
Welcome to some festive spring days packed with children’s and youth films in Kristiansand, situated on the coast of southern Norway. We offer a total of about 100 new films for children and youth, seminars and presentations. The line-up will be presented here in early April.

WINNERS AT KICFF 2010
Four awards were handed out at Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival’s closing ceremony May 1st. In his speech, festival director Danckert Monrad-Krohn emphasized the importance of focusing on Nordic and international children’s film in order to show the diversity and quality of the children’s film genre.
