Three awards are handed out at the last evening of the festival. The Film & Kino Award grants NOK 75 000 to Norwegian distribution of the best new children’s film and the ECFA award will be presented to the best European feature-length film. Finally, the Ludi Award is given by our audiences to the most popular film in the Main Section. .

Throughout 2011 and continuing throughout 2012 ECFA have been participating in a Europe wide project to fight Homophobia and gender stereotypes. ECFA's annual seminar on April 27th in Kristiansand will give educators and media professionals an opportunity to gain an insight in to the reasoning behind the project, previews of films and educational material and to meet the professionals involved in this ambitious pan-European undertaking.
