Festival Closing and Award Winners in Haugesund
The 38th Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund Wednesday 25
August marked its official closing with the premiere of Stefan Faldbakken's The
Writing on the Wall. The director was present in Haugesund together with
the actors Trond Espen Seim, Lene Nystrøm, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Martine
Johansen. Furthermore, the relay baton was passed on to the festival's
extended arm, the audience festival in Stavanger and Sandnes.

The Hestenes Award to Nina Stensrud Martin
Nina Stensrud Martin, NRK journalist and the host of Radioselskapet, was
presented with the 2010 Hestenes Award Sunday 22 August during the Norwegian
International Film Festival in Haugesund.

Nordic Focus in Haugesund
Wednesday 18 August the Nordic film market New Nordic Films started in
Haugesund. The Norwegian International Film Festival's Nordic section this
year experience a record attendance with a participation of 366
professionals from 25 nations.

The Swedish Actress Lena Endre received the honorary award ”The Norwegian
International Film Festival's and Liv Ullmann’s Honorary Award” in
connection with the official opening of the Norwegian International Festival
Saturday 21 August in Haugesund.

Nick Moran and Kevin Lewis to visit the festival
The British director and actor Nick Moran will come to Haugesund together with
screenwriter Kevin Lewis in connection with the international premiere of
their film The Kid during the Norwegian International Film Festival. The
Kid is Nick Moran's second film as director. He will be most familiar to
Norwegian audiences for his role as Eddy in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking
Barrels.
