The Amanda juries

Jan Eggum is the president of the juries to judge the Norwegian feature films for the 2012 Amanda Awards. The juries are hand-picked by the film industry's own organisations and consist of highly competent representatives of the Norwegian film scene.
The Amanda Awards are presented in 18 different categories. The films to be judged shall have had their premiere in Norwegian movie theatres in the period from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012.

The People's Amanda, Gullklapperen (“The Golden Clapper”) and the Honorary Award
The audience award The People's Amanda is a co-operative effort between the Norwegian International Film Festival, the newspaper VG and TV 2. The nominations for the People's Amanda will be decided through an internet vote at VG Nett from the end of June up to the Amanda Awards Ceremony on 17 August. During the awards ceremony the Amanda Committee will also present its Golden Clapper and Honorary Awards.
The announcement of the nominations
The Amanda Nominations will be announced during a press conference in Oslo on Tuesday 19 June.
The Amanda Awards Ceremony will take place during a live TV show on TV2 from Haugesund Concert Hall on Friday 17 August, and is part of the Norwegian International Film Festival, which takes place 17 - 23 August 2012.
