Just the Wind

Mari lives with her invalid father and two children in a shack in a poor Romani society in the woods outside the city.
The neighbourhood is fearful after as many as five entire families have been murdered, gunned down in their own homes. Still the inhabitants try to maintain some kind of normalcy. Mari is juggling her two jobs. Her teenage daughter Anna tries to keep up at school. But young Rio is concerned with other matters entirely. He is getting ready…
Just the Wind is a claustrophobic thriller about a desperate family with no escape. And in light of the debate on the Romani people’s presence in Norway, this film is an extremely powerful reminder of what can happen when hate and indifference are allowed free reign. The film won the Jury Prize in Berlin and is based on real events.
