A heartfelt and somewhat different romantic comedy that comments upon its own genre with humour and originality.
It opens with what traditionally should have been the happy end: Tom proposes to his beloved Violet and gets a resounding yes. But despite being happily in love, it turns out that planning a wedding is one thing – but actually going through with it is something else. When Violet receives an unexpected offer of an exciting job in Michigan, they decide to go for it and move – after all they can just postpone the wedding a little. But when everyday life catches up with them, it gets increasingly difficult to resume planning. Lead actor Jason Segel once more proves his comic talent as both an actor and screenwriter.
