1ST NORDIC CO-PRODUCTION FORUM IN HAUGESUND

21 - 22 August 2006

The first Co-production event for feature films within the Nordic countries will be arranged during the long established Norwegian International Film Festival in August.

This year during the 34th Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund, the festival organisation body and content financing consultancy peacefulfish have initiated the first of its kind co-production forum in the Nordic countries. For its first instalment the focus will be on the UK as a co-production partner and a contest is held for all interested UK producers to enter a project, which could be co-produced with a Nordic country as early as 2007. The selected producers will be invited to Haugesund and take part in the co-production forum where they will meet potential Nordic co-producers and other sources of funding.

The Co-production Forum will also include panels on co-production inside Scandinavia and within Europe. The Co-production forum will prolong the annual film market New Nordic Films. The market is an exclusive industry event and has been the most important meeting place for all Nordic producers and distributors since 1995.

To enter the competition go to www.peacefulfish.com/haugesund and fill in the application form. If you are interested in taking part in the co-production forum without submitting a project, register at www.filmfestivalen.no
