Events
A number of events will take place during the festival, including a grand
opening party and a free outdoor concert for the public on Saturday 18
August. There will be film premieres with subsequent parties, opportunities
to meet filmmakers, a Festival Exhibition and lots of other activities that
will make their mark on the festival and Haugesund during the days of 17 ?
24 August.

Meet the Filmmaker in the Festival Salons, Høvleriet and at Café Rene
For many years Kalle Løchen has been receiving nocturnal visits from guest
filmmakers and actors. Festival accredited are invited ?to join the
conversation? over a glass of beer or wine.

The festival artist
This year?s festival artist is the sculptor Hans Martin Øien (b. 1964). Øien
lives and works at Berger in Vestfold County. Øien studied at Trondheim
Academy of Fine Arts and at Wimbledon School of Art in London.
