"Box 25" is the story of the Panama Canal as told by the men who built it in 114 vintage letters rediscovered in the US Library of Congress. Despite inhumane working conditions, blatant discrimination and an openly colonial mentality, the lost voices of these men are a record of the enduring hopes of the thousands of workers built not just the canal, but also the modern nation of Panama.
