After a traffic accident, Kazuma Satou's brief life was supposed to end, but he wakes up to a beautiful girl. She's a goddess and asks if he'd like to go to a new world and bring one thing with him. He chooses her, and both are sent to a fantasy realm ruled by a Devil King. While Kazuma seeks peace, Aqua wants to solve the world's problems, but the Devil King won't turn a blind eye for long.
